Quill
by Nezaam. Practice management for UK accountancy firms
Every client and every deadline a firm owes, on one screen.
Built for UK accountancy practices, where the work is a list of clients and what is due against each of them.
Built and running. Not yet in use at a firm.
What it does
Every job, on one board.
Staff move each job across the stages. Every card carries the client, who owns it and when it is due, so nothing sits in somebody’s head.
Type a company number. The record fills itself.
Eight characters, and four fields a member of staff would otherwise copy from another tab. The system reads the free Companies House register from the server, maps the entity type to the one the firm uses, and writes nothing back.
This one is ours. The four fields are Nezaam Ltd’s own entry, taken from the public register on 19 September 2026 and replayed here. This page calls nothing; in the system, they come back from the register itself.
The chase runs three times, then stops.
Staff raise a request for named items. The client gets a single-use link, sees only their own outstanding items and uploads against them, with no account to make. Tick an item off here and the status works itself out, the same rule the system uses.

Then it stops.
Every change is written down twice.
The firm works from the first record and can keep editing it. The second is only ever added to: the app has no code that edits or deletes a line. So when somebody asks who changed a bank detail in March, the answer is a row.
What it does not do
The limits, written down.
- Not filing software
It sends nothing to HMRC. It holds who is mandated, what is next, and who is chasing it.
- Not bookkeeping
It does not keep the books and it is not where the numbers are made.
- One firm, one instance
Its own database, its own secrets, its own deploy. One firm’s client list is never beside another’s.
- Your data leaves when you do
The client book and the job board export to CSV, Excel or PDF in one click.
Where it stands and what it costs
Where it stands
Built and running. Not yet in use at a firm.
We will say when the first firm is on it, and not before. On a call we open the real thing and walk you through it.
What it costs
A fixed price in writing, before anything is set up.
It depends on the size of the firm and what moves across from your current system. A setup fee, then a monthly fee for running and looking after it.
If you run a practice.
Tell us how you track what is due. We will tell you whether this is better than what you have, and if it is not, we will say so.
We reply within one working day.
