Nezaam Ltd makes nazm, which lets local shops take orders over WhatsApp. This notice explains what personal data nazm handles when you order from a shop on nazm or run one, and how to ask us for a copy of it, a correction or deletion.
Nothing you type into that form is sent to us by the website, and none of it is stored anywhere. The button builds a message in your own email app with your answers already written into it, and nothing happens until you press send yourself. Until you do, what you typed stays on your own device. If you close the page instead, it is gone.
Once you send it, we hold that email the way we hold any email. It is addressed to hello@nezaam.co.uk, which is delivered by Cloudflare Email Routing and forwarded to one mailbox that one person reads. We keep an enquiry while we are talking and delete it within 12 months of the last message, unless you become a client, in which case it is kept with that project's records. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time, using the section below. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your details to anyone.
The website itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else's servers, so there is no tracking on it to opt out of.
The shop you order from is responsible for its own customer list. nazm runs the ordering for that shop and handles your details on its behalf. We do not use them for any purpose of our own.
The ordering page has one tick box, asking whether the shop may send you offers and news on WhatsApp. It is not ticked for you, and you can order without ticking it.
We do not collect payment details. Orders are for collection and paid at the shop.
We do not store the content of your WhatsApp messages. A message you send the shop is used only to send you back a link to its menu, and what it says is not kept.
Your phone number is kept on your customer record and, for two hours, on the record behind the menu link we send you. Everywhere else in our system you are referred to by an internal identifier, so your number does not appear in web addresses, logs or error messages.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with other shops.
We hold your shop's name, its WhatsApp number, and the identifiers Meta issues for the WhatsApp Business account and phone number you connect. We use them only to run your ordering service and to contact you about it.
nazm does not keep a list of its own today. When it does, you will only be on it if you message nazm's own WhatsApp number yourself to join. We will never add you from a shop's chat or from an order, and this notice will say what that list holds before it starts.
Email malik@nezaam.co.uk with the WhatsApp number you ordered from, and tell us what you want: a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, or to stop the shop's offers and news. We will act on it and write back to you.
Or message the shop in the same WhatsApp chat you ordered in and ask them to remove you from their list. The shop reads its own WhatsApp inbox directly, so that request reaches a person.
We respond within one month, which is the time limit UK data protection law sets.
Your WhatsApp number and profile name are kept while the shop uses nazm, unless you ask us to delete them.
Order records are kept while the shop uses nazm, and for as long as the shop's own tax and accounting obligations require.
The record behind a menu link deletes itself after two hours.
Consent records are kept for as long as we hold the data they relate to, because a consent record is the evidence that we were allowed to hold it. Consent records are never edited: a withdrawal is written as a new record alongside the original.
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for it in a form you can move to another service, object to how it is used, ask us to restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Using any of these costs you nothing, and we will not treat you differently for it.
To complain about how we have handled your data, email malik@nezaam.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome. If you are still not happy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We update this notice when what we do changes. The date at the top is when it was last changed.
