The record reads the way a person would say it out loud, and the firm can go on editing it. That is the half you work in.
A Nezaam system
Built for UK accountancy practices, where the work is a list of clients and what is due against each of them, and where the cost of missing one is not the work, it is the penalty.

An example screen. The firm and the client names are invented, and the date is your own. No practice is paying for this yet, and this page will say so until one is.
The work pipeline
Staff move each job across the stages. Every card carries the client, who owns it and when it is due, so nothing sits in somebody’s head and the whole practice is visible at a glance.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
Sole traders and landlords are mandated by qualifying income, in three waves. The first has already started.
Then, every yearQuarterly updates on 7 August, 7 November, 7 February and 7 May, whatever the client’s own year looks like. Self Assessment online by 31 January.
Checked against gov.uk on 16 September 2026: who is eligible and from when, and when quarterly updates are due. If you find one of these wrong, tell us and we will fix it the same day.
One field in, a whole record out
This one is ours. The lookup runs against Nezaam’s own entry on the public register, so every value it prints is already public.
Eight characters, and four fields a member of staff would otherwise re-key off a screen in another tab. It reads the free Companies House API, maps the entity type to the one the firm uses, and writes nothing back.
Asking, and then asking again
Staff raise a request for named items. Tick one off and watch the status recompute. That is the real rule, not a picture of it.

Chased Day 3Day 7Day 14 then it stops
The client never makes an account. They get a single-use link, see only their own outstanding items, and upload against them. Chasing is the work nobody wants and the work that loses the deadline, so nobody does it.
What gets written down
One is the record your firm works from. The other exists so that nobody has to be believed. They are separate tables, and only one of them can be edited.
What the firm sees
The record reads the way a person would say it out loud, and the firm can go on editing it. That is the half you work in.
Audit entry · append only
Written in the same instant, and never touched again. The app only ever adds lines to this table: it has no code that edits one or deletes one. The email is a snapshot taken at the time, not a join, so you can remove the member of staff and the line still says who did it.
This costs you nothing until the day a client says they were never told, or a partner asks who changed a bank detail in March. Then the answer is a row, and not somebody’s recollection of March.
What it does not do
It sends nothing to HMRC. It holds who is mandated, what is next, and who is chasing it.
It does not keep the books and it is not where the numbers are made.
Its own database, its own secrets, its own deploy. One firm’s client list is never beside another’s.
The client book and the job board export to CSV, Excel or PDF in one click. Nothing is held hostage.
Built and running, and no practice is paying for it yet. This page will say so until one is. On a call we will open the real thing and walk a client through it, from the record to the request to the chase, rather than show you a slide about it. Made by Nezaam Ltd, registered in England and Wales, number 17453602.
Tell us how you track what is due, and we will tell you whether this is better than what you have. If it is not, we will say so. Email hello@nezaam.co.uk and say how many clients you carry.
